When President Obama released his long-form Hawaii birth certificate last week, he asked that the "sideshows and carnival barkers" stop raising the issue. But you can still profit from all the "silliness": Hawaii-based Aqua Hotels & Resorts is offering a 15% discount off its best available rates to guests who produce a copy of their own birth certificate (long-form or otherwise, from any country) at check-in.

Good through Aug. 4 (Obama's birthday) at all Aqua's Hawaii properties except the Hotel Lanai, the based-on-availability deal must be booked in advance, comes with a three-day cancellation policy, and can't be combined with other promotions. A one-night deposit is required.

And what about that tongue-in-cheek "Find Obama's Birth Certificate Tour" launched this winter? "Since we no longer have to search for the official document, we're going to put that tour on the shelf," says George Kaka of Hawaii Tours.
